This is probably my go-to breakfast item to make. It’s incredibly easy and filling, and I usually pair it with a serving of mixed fruit (organic strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries).
Eggs are awesome and there is no reason to remove the yolks. Eat the whole egg. Let me repeat that again…EAT THE WHOLE EGG! 😉
Eggs are incredibly versatile as well. There are so many different ways to make them, but as I said, this is my simple go-to. All it requires are two ingredients, plus whatever seasoning you want.
- 3 large eggs
- 1 Aidells Chicken & Apple Sausage
- 1/2 tbs. coconut oil
- Trader Joe’s 21 Seasonings Salute
Dice up the chicken & apple sausage and saute with the coconut oil under medium heat in a frying pan.
Once the sausage is slightly browned, add eggs to pan and scramble until desired done-ness.
Add to plate and sprinkle with Trader Joe’s 21 Seasonings Salute or other desired seasoning.
Pair with a serving of favorite mixed fruit.
NOTES: I’ve tried a couple different brands of chicken & apple sausage and Aidell’s is by far my favorite. It compliments the eggs very well and it’s just overall tasty.
Additionally, I always try to buy organic foods as well as cage-free or free-range brown eggs.
