Day 19. It’s Friday! TGIF! Whew, I’m almost at 3 weeks now. Yee haw! Giddy up! Can you tell I’m in a great mood? No? Fine.
Moving along then. So I had to go to work early again this morning and didn’t work out. I decided that I will just take today as my rest day and work out Sunday instead. At least that is the plan. On Saturday I’ll be doing a tough hike up one of the popular mountains in San Diego called Cowles Mountain. I guess it’s the highest peek here in SD, which isn’t saying much considering I hail from Alaska, but hey…anything that I am climbing right now, is definitely going to seem like one of the mountains back home. 😉
So, after this climb…I might not be able to move on Sunday to work out. Ha! We shall see. I’m really excited to go hiking there. I’ve been wanting to for some years now and just never had. Should be fun.
Painfully fun. 🙂
Day 19 Menu and Activities
- Rest Day (switching this day with Sunday)
- 1 1/2 serving of steel cut oats with blueberries, blackberries, sliced strawberries – organic, if possible
- 1 cup coffee, black
- 1 Tsp. Fish Oil
- Large Salad
- mixed greens
- shredded medley (broccoli, carrots, red cabbage)
- grape tomatoes
- pumpkin seeds
- PaleoChef Wild Berry dressing
- Small handful of Macadamia Nuts
- Paleo Teriyaki Chicken (slow cooker)
- Cauliflower rice
- 1 Gallon +
- Up and down the stairs at work
- No moods swings 🙂
- No headaches
- Felt slightly sluggish in the afternoon
Overall Feelings: Pretty decent for the most part. I feel myself being more positive and I’m not lethargic like I used to be. I don’t spend the day yawning and staring at the clock to see what time it is. I did feel slightly sluggish by late afternoon and I think its probably the morning cardio circuit that tired me out.
NOTES: Still having a hard time remembering to bring a snack to work. As I stated above, I was a bit sluggish by late afternoon. I need to remember on my cardio circuit days to bring in a snack, definitely.
