Day 27. It’s Saturday. Which means…Super Bowl Weekend!!! Yay! 🙂
I’m actually just relaxing this Super Bowl. No party this year. Just watching it in the comfort of my own home on Sunday. That might actually be kind of nice for once. I’ll probably grill still…gotta’ have some good grub, right? 🙂
The grocery stores were a bit crazy when I went out and about to run errands. Everyone waas getting their BBQ foodies prepped for the big game. It’s interesting to see what folks had their carts stacked with. I think the most common items I saw were chips, beer, ribs, and chicken. Yup, that about sums it up. Ha!
I’m nearing the first full month of my journey. It’s been really good for the most part. I need to start mixing up some of my food items though. Especially breakfast and lunch. I mean, I’m not bored with the food because it’s easy and still tasty to me. It’s funny how just altering one ingredient or seasoning can take a similar dish and make it taste so different.
Remember, seasoning is your friend!
But in all seriousness, changing up your menu keeps things in a constant state of flux and interesting. Something that I need to get out of, is the whole idea of eating things in their traditional time slots. Dinner can be consumed at breakfast or lunch. Lunch can be consumed at dinner or breakfast. I absolutely love having breakfast for dinner.
This is another reason why leftovers are great. They enable you to eat previously cooked meals at any time you choose. 🙂

Overall Feelings: Good. Sire from previous day’s Ab workout. I’m still feeling a bit bloated, which I don’t like at all. A little minor cramps too so I know her royal highness is on her way and will be here in the next day or two. Yay me! Eck. Besides that, I’m feeling really and energy continues to be more and more each day. Can’t complain. 🙂
NOTES: The walk that I do is this 4 mile route I take which starts at my residence and is pleasantly scenic most of the loop. I call it a loop. It may be more of a square, but I’ll stick to calling it a loop. There is a nice sidewalk the entire route and traffic flows constant since it goes along two main roadways and the smaller roadway through the other neighborhoods are really nice and pretty upscale.
The other thing I like about it is that there are steady inclines, declines, and straight ways, which allows me to challenge myself constantly along the way. There are so many things that I can do differently each walk to give myself a different workout like starting in the opposite direction which means that there may be a serious incline at the end of my walk to get through or a straightway instead. Also, I can pick points along the way to sprint to and do intervals.
Jogging uphill is always a great challenge as well as stopping to do pushups, situps, or leg lifts in the nice grassy areas. Picking up the pace the entire route to best my time each walk I take, is another challenge.
There are several ways to take a walk along the same route and make it overall different and challenging each time. I love that route and I am looking forward to doing it more often after work when it is still light out.
