It’s Day 35. Sunday Fun-day! 😉 Of course it’s another sunny day here in San Diego (sorry my northeast peeps!). Today, we decided to go for a fitness walk around Lake Murray. It’s funny how I’ve lived here 9 years now and I’m just NOW getting to know some of the popular scenic places to hike or walk. A few weeks ago it was Cowles Mountain and today it’s Lake Murray.
San Diego has so much to offer and I am planning on taking full advantage now of all the things I missed the last several years. 🙂

Overall Feelings: Still feeling great. It was so nice to be outside again enjoying the beautiful weather and being active. It definitely makes me quite happy inside…can’t lie about that. This journey is doing so much for me both mentally and physically and blogging about it just escalates it. I wish I would have done this before, but you what, it doesn’t matter…because I’m doing it now. 🙂
NOTES: So, I had no idea that iPhones have this built in Health app that can track the steps and miles you walk in a day. And here I thought I had to search for and download some other app to be able to do it. Ha! Who knew? Okay okay, don’t make fun. I had never tracked my steps before. Not like all those folks using gadgets like FitBits and such. It was pretty cool to see the amount of steps and miles I had walked.
I can honestly say that the steps and miles shown in the below picture are from the walk. I mean the only walking I did prior to that was going from the bedroom, to the kitchen, back to the bedroom, letting my dog out to go to the bathroom, and walking to the car to drive to Lake Murray.
The other picture is of Cowles Mountain taken from the pathway at Lake Murray. That’s the mountain we hiked up a few weeks ago. I think it’s calling my name for another hike this weekend. 🙂
