Day 45. It’s Wednesday, so again…Happy Hump Day! I keep thinking it’s Tuesday due to the past Holiday, but that’s okay because that means I just get to be excited over and over again when I realize it’s a day later than I thought it was.
Things are still trucking along on my journey from fat to fit. It’s interesting the amount of knowledge that I have learned about nutrition, the way I have shifted my own, and the effects of it. The fact that I am now paying close attention to everything I do, really gives me valuable insight.
I still can’t believe that it took me this long to do it. And by ‘it’ I mean…journal and blog about my daily activities and the food I eat. It had only been suggested to me numerous times, but I always kind of shrugged it off.
I guess that means I might have to eat some crow. That seems to be happening a lot lately.
At least I’m someone who can admit it, right? 😉
Day 45 Menu and Activities
- Cardio – Treadmill, 30 min. + 5 min. cool down
- Weights – Back/Biceps/Shoulders, 35 min.
- 1 Scoop Peach/Mango Recovery Whey Protein powder with 8 oz. water
- 1 Tsp. Fish Oil
- 3 large brown eggs (cage-free or free range), scrambled
- 3 pcs. bacon (no nitrites or nitrates)
- ½ cup blackberries and sliced strawberries (organic, if possible)
- 1 cup coffee, black
- Large Salad
- mixed greens
- black olives
- hard-boiled egg
- grape tomatoes
- grilled chicken breast
- 1 tbs. ranch dressing
- Baby carrots
- Grilled Pork Loin Chop with Spicy Red Rub
- Steamed Broccoli with Hollandaise Sauce
- 1 Sweet Potato
- 1 cup hot lemon water
- 1 Gallon +
- Energy was up by mid-morning and stayed
- Tired again during morning workout
- Bloated 🙁
Overall Feelings: For the most part, I am still feeling great overall. However, yet again, I was pretty tired this morning during my workout and rather sluggish. Guess what I had for dinner the previous night again? Yup, that tasty beef stew and again, I didn’t eat anything along with it, so to me…that pretty much confirms what I thought previously. That it’s just not enough ‘food’ to support my workout the following morning.
So…note to self: Don’t Do That Again! 😉
I had a pretty good and satisfying menu today, so my hunch is that tomorrow I will feel 10 times better.
Additionally, I was also pretty bloated today. I have a feeling it might be because of the Whey Protein shake. I certainly hope not, but that’s what I suspect. Hopefully, it was the salad I had at lunch or it’s just a fluke thing. I guess I’ll find out soon enough.
NOTES: Something to add regarding the bloating…I’ve decided to add drinking a cup of hot lemon water daily. That should help with the bloat. So, if it IS the Whey Protein making me bloat, I’m hoping the lemon water will balance everything out. 🙂
