Day 49! It’s Sunday, which once again means that it’s back to the daily grind tomorrow. I had a good weekend, so I can’t complain. It could always be worse, right? 😉
So, I felt a bit bloated this morning after last night’s buffet grub. Again, I have absolutely no regrets about what I ate and I enjoyed every tasty morsel.
Also, during today’s weigh-in, I missed the weekly goal of 2 lbs. As a matter of fact I actually gained 1.8 lbs.
But you know what…
I’m not going to beat myself up about it. There could be many reasons for the good and considering that my clothes seem to feel looser by the day, I don’t think it’s a negative gain.
Yes, some of it could be added water weight from the chili and buffet days, but who cares. That will drop off easily in the next day or two and the rest of the weight…well, let’s face it…muscle is a far more solid mass than fat, 😉
Considering that I added the Recovery Protein Shake to my daily diet 5 times a week and I am able to lift heavier during my gym sessions…I think it’s not surprising.
I think things will level out in the next week and get back to the normal 2 lbs. Additionally, in a couple weeks, I’ll be working out twice a day doing weights in the morning and cardio in the evenings…so I won’t be surprised if there are some big drops at first.
It’s ALL good. 😀

Day 49 Menu and Activities
- None – Rest Day
- 3 Eggs scrambled with
- portabella mushrooms
- topped with avocado
- sprinkled with tapatio hot sauce
- 1 cup coffee, black
- 1 Tsp fish oil
- Raw Almonds
- Almond Chicken
- Zucchini sauteed with coconut oil and Trader Joe’s 21 Seasoning Salute
- 2/3 Gallon
- Deeper sleep
- Healthier hair
- Clothes are more loose
- A bit bloated from buffet
- Gained 1.8 lbs (but is this really a con?)
Overall Feelings: Pretty good. A little bloated this morning, but as the day went on, I felt better. I think my body was happy for a day of rest, which I hope translates into a kickass workout tomorrow morning. I guess I’ll have to wait and see. 😉
