Day 61! It’s Friday! So…TGIF! It’s also a payday Friday, which is always awesome! 🙂 Considering I got my work bonus last Friday and this Friday was the normal pay Friday…this whole getting paid weekly is pretty damn sweet! Too bad it’s not normally like that. I could definitely get used to it. 😉
So things are definitely going really well. All in all, I’ve only had a handful of bad days for various reasons, and the rest of my journey thus far has been pretty great. For the first time in my life, I’m actually really enjoying it and I know that this blog is a big reason for that. 🙂
So, today was the last time I do the cardio circuit for awhile. Next week starts the two-a-days, so my gym time is going to be spent weight lifting and the cardio portion will be outside in the evenings. Totally looking forward to it! Since today was the last time for the circuit, I made sure to kick it into high gear and gave it my all. It was a great workout and needless to say, I was sweating my ass off.
And…it felt amazing!
Considering the difficulty completing the circuit when I first started, I definitely have to give myself a pat on the back. I’ve already increased my intensity and stamina a great deal.
At least a great deal in my eyes. But seriously, when I go back and look at the beginning and the increases that I have made thus far, so many little victories accomplished. 🙂
Ok, before I get all mushy, let’s get on to the day’s grub:
Day 61 Menu and Activities
- Day 61 – Cardio Circuit (intensified) – 60 mins. + 5 minutes cool down
- 1 Scoop Peach/Mango Recovery Whey Protein powder with 8 oz. water
- 1 Tsp. Fish Oil
- 3 large brown eggs (cage-free or free range), scrambled with
- grass-fed beef hamburger patty (from Day 60 Dinner)
- 1/2 cup strawberries and blackberries (organic, if possible)
- 1 cup coffee, black
- Large Salad
- mixed greens
- shredded medley (broccoli, carrots, cabbage)
- sunflower seeds
- PaleoChef Citrus/Cilantro dressing, drizzled
- 2 tbs. raw organic almond butter
- Greek Food (see notes)
- 2 chicken kabobs
- small salad drizzled with balsamic vinegar
- Greek rice
- 1 pc. pita bread, pocket
- 3 tbs. humus
- 1 brownie bite
- 1 sm. chocolate chip cookie
- 1 Gallon +
- Increased strength

Overall Feelings: I’m feeling great today. Are you tired of hearing that? Are you looking for total depression and drama? Well tough! Not gonna find it here. At least, not at the moment. 😉 Seriously, things are going great and I’m feeling amazing. Is everything ALWAYS peachie? Of course not. But the positives far exceed any negative.
This morning, I wanted so badly to stay in bed and started playing the mind games about whether or not to go to the gym. I yawned the whole drive to the gym, and was even yawning on the treadmill for the first 5 minutes before my body woke up. It’s just mindset. That’s all it is. I tell my mind to shut up and get up, and my body follows. Then afterwards, I’m so dang happy and feel accomplished. So…it’s a necessary evil but totally worth it! 😉
NOTES: I was at a basketball banquet which was catered with Greek food. I was going to eat prior to the banquet, but decided to go ahead and just eat at the banquet. I mean, the most unhealthiest thing that I consumed was the brownie bite and cookie. The piece of pita bread, which was half of one of those pita pockets was the next unhealthiest food item. All in all, considering the amount that I ate of the stuff, it wasn’t that unhealthy of a meal. So I had a small amount of processed sugar…whoopie! 😉 NOT a big deal at all.
