Day 80. It’s Wednesday…so Happy Hump Day! 🙂 Yup, that also means it was my favorite weight training day…legs! Not! Ha! It was actually a good session, but I may have over-done it again. Not nearly like I did a couple weeks ago, but I doubt I will get off sore-free come tomorrow.
I guess as long as I can walk, that’s all that matters right?!?!
Speaking of which, while I tried to do my 4 mile walk/run today, t pretty much was walking only. The moment I tried running, it felt as though I had cinder blocks strapped to my feet. I did run a little, but it was pretty difficult. My legs felt like jello instantly and I was quite weak.
I may need to rethink trying to do cardio on a leg day. 😉
Actually, I think I will stick to doing the walk, but just refrain to attempting to add running to the route on these days.
And with that, let’s get on to Day 80’s grub:

- Late afternoon sluggishness
Overall Feelings: So today was a pretty decent day. Though, I did feel a little sluggish by late afternoon and during my walk/run route, my legs felt pretty weak and overall I seemed like I did not have my normal pep.
NOTES: I can pretty much state that due to not having my post-workout protein shake, as well as my afternoon snack, really affects my ability to recover from morning workouts and sustain me throughout the day.
To be honest, due to the weight I gained from my BAD Sunday eating, I panicked a bit and reduced my calorie intake trying to drop those pounds. That is a HUGE no-no and I definitely know better.
I couldn’t have the post-workout shake because I ran out of protein powder. I have some on the way, which by the way I am trying a new type. This brand is supposed to be one of the ‘cleanest’ types of whey protein concentrate there is. So, I thought that I would at least give it a try.
There’s no excuse for me not eating my afternoon snack, and I believe it contributed to my weakness during the 4 mile route this afternoon.
Shame on me. Tisk Tisk, Noel! 😉
