Day 85. It’s Monday! So I took today off to be able to do things that I needed to get done, as well as get caught up with my blog and recording the Weekly Roundup videos since I didn’t do it Sunday because 1. due to helping my friends move and 2. I started feeling really weird by mid-afternoon. It was like any ounce of energy I had left in my body, instantly drained. By the time I got home from helping my friends, and running errands to Costco, I felt like I had run a marathon.
So…today was supposed to be the day that I planned to get caught up and had all this ambition to be super productive.
It didn’t happen. 🙁
I woke up this morning and my body felt incredibly heavy. It was strange. I was so tired but could not actually sleep.
I went to my physical therapy appointment for my shoulder and then went and had my car washed and waxed. That was the extent of my activities really all day. Once I got home, I pretty much collapsed on the couch and then went into the bedroom and collapsed on my bed. I just laid there, half-awake sipping on Oolong tea and watching episodes of The Blacklist that I had on dvr.
Needless to say, I won’t be working out today.
I guess when my body wants a rest day, it wants a FULL rest day.
No moving boxes up and down stairs.
No doing any sort of jiggy-ness.
So with that, onto the rest of Day 85’s grub and activities (or lack thereof):
Day 85 Menu and Activities
- None (not feeling too shabby)
- 2 large brown eggs (cage-free or free range), scrambled with
- Aidells Chicken & Apple Sausage
- Small handful of freeze-dried organic blueberries
- 1 banana/blueberry muffin
- 1 cup coffee, black
- 1 Tsp. Fish Oil
- Protein Shake – ProMix Unflavored Whey Protein, blended with
- 1 cup frozen strawberries, blueberries, blackberries
- 1 tbs. organic cacao powder
Dinner (leftovers from Day 80):
- Slow Cooker Pork Roast with Kraut
- Sweet Potato
- 2/3 Gallon
- Not a single thing
- Rest (forced to rest – not sure that is a pro, lol)
- EXTREMELY TIRED
Overall Feelings: So today was a total bust. The only thing that got done was my car. I’m pretty bummed that I felt so incredibly exhausted, and could not do all the things that I intended. I know our bodies do these things to protect us and it’s its way of telling us what it needs, but man…bad timing. Ugh.
Hopefully, it got the rest it needed and tomorrow will be a whole new day.
NOTES: Nothing more to add.
